Around 1690 Joseph Eyles was born to Francis Eyles 1st Baronet and Elizabeth Ayley.

On 24th May 1716 [his father] Francis Eyles 1st Baronet died. His son [his brother] John [aged 33] succeeded 2nd Baronet Eyles of London.
In 1717 Joseph Eyles [aged 27] was elected Master of the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers which position he held until 1721.
In 1717 Joseph Eyles [aged 27] was appointed Director of the Bank of England which position he held until 1721.
In 1721 Joseph Eyles [aged 31] was appointed Director of the East India Company which position he held until 1722.
On 9th December 1724 Joseph Eyles [aged 34] was knighted.
In 1727 Joseph Eyles [aged 37] was elected MP Southwark.
