On 2nd October 1734 [his father] Henry Harpur 5th Baronet [aged 26] and [his mother] Caroline Manners Lady Harpur and Burdett were married. She the daughter of [his grandfather] John Manners 2nd Duke Rutland and [his grandmother] Lucy Sherard Duchess Rutland [aged 49]. They were half fifth cousins.

In 1739 Henry Harpur 6th Baronet was born to Henry Harpur 5th Baronet [aged 30] and Caroline Manners Lady Harpur and Burdett.

In 1741 [his grandfather] John Harpur 4th Baronet [aged 62] died. His son [his father] Henry [aged 32] succeeded 5th Baronet Harpur of Calke Abbey in Derbyshire. [his mother] Caroline Manners Lady Harpur and Burdett by marriage Lady Harpur of Calke Abbey in Derbyshire.

On 7th June 1748 [his father] Henry Harpur 5th Baronet [aged 39] died. His son Henry [aged 9] succeeded 6th Baronet Harpur of Calke Abbey in Derbyshire.

On 17th July 1753 [his step-father] Caroline Burdett and [his mother] Caroline Manners Lady Harpur and Burdett were married. She the daughter of [his grandfather] John Manners 2nd Duke Rutland and [his grandmother] Lucy Sherard Duchess Rutland.

On 17th July 1753 [his step-father] Robert Burdett 4th Baronet [aged 37] and [his mother] Caroline Manners Lady Harpur and Burdett were married. She by marriage Lady Burdett of Bramcote in Warwickshire. She the daughter of [his grandfather] John Manners 2nd Duke Rutland and [his grandmother] Lucy Sherard Duchess Rutland. They were half sixth cousins.

In 1762 Henry Harpur 6th Baronet [aged 23] and Frances Elizabeth Greville Lady Harpur [aged 17] were married. She the daughter of Francis Greville 1st Earl Brooke Warwick Castle 1st Earl Warwick [aged 42] and Elizabeth Hamilton Countess Brooke Warwick Castle and Warwick [aged 42].

In 1763 [his son] Henry Crewe 7th Baronet was born to Henry Harpur 6th Baronet [aged 24] and [his wife] Frances Elizabeth Greville Lady Harpur [aged 18]. He married 1792 Anne "Nanette" Hawkins and had issue.

In 1768 Godfrey Clarke was elected MP Derbyshire beating Henry Harpur 6th Baronet [aged 29].

William of Worcester's Chronicle of England

William of Worcester, born around 1415, and died around 1482 was secretary to John Fastolf, the renowned soldier of the Hundred Years War, during which time he collected documents, letters, and wrote a record of events. Following their return to England in 1440 William was witness to major events. Twice in his chronicle he uses the first person: 1. when writing about the murder of Thomas, 7th Baron Scales, in 1460, he writes '… and I saw him lying naked in the cemetery near the porch of the church of St. Mary Overie in Southwark …' and 2. describing King Edward IV's entry into London in 1461 he writes '… proclaimed that all the people themselves were to recognize and acknowledge Edward as king. I was present and heard this, and immediately went down with them into the city'. William’s Chronicle is rich in detail. It is the source of much information about the Wars of the Roses, including the term 'Diabolical Marriage' to describe the marriage of Queen Elizabeth Woodville’s brother John’s marriage to Katherine, Dowager Duchess of Norfolk, he aged twenty, she sixty-five or more, and the story about a paper crown being placed in mockery on the severed head of Richard, 3rd Duke of York.

From 1769 to 1789 Henry Harpur 6th Baronet [aged 30] lived at 35 Upper Grosvenor Street.

On 10th November 1769 [his mother] Caroline Manners Lady Harpur and Burdett died.

On 1st April 1771 [his brother-in-law] George Greville 2nd Earl Warwick and Brooke [aged 24] and Georgiana Peachey were married at St George's Church, Hanover Square. He the son of [his father-in-law] Francis Greville 1st Earl Brooke Warwick Castle 1st Earl Warwick [aged 51] and [his mother-in-law] Elizabeth Hamilton Countess Brooke Warwick Castle and Warwick [aged 51]. They were fifth cousin once removed. She a great x 2 granddaughter of King Charles II of England Scotland and Ireland.

On 8th July 1773 [his father-in-law] Francis Greville 1st Earl Brooke Warwick Castle 1st Earl Warwick [aged 53] died. His son [his brother-in-law] George [aged 26] succeeded 2nd Earl Warwick, 2nd Earl Brooke Warwick Castle, 9th Baron Brooke of Beauchamps Court in Warwickshire.

On 10th February 1789 Henry Harpur 6th Baronet [aged 50] died. His son Henry [aged 26] succeeded 7th Baronet Harpur of Calke Abbey in Derbyshire.

On 6th April 1825 [his former wife] Frances Elizabeth Greville Lady Harpur [aged 80] died.
