Around 1615 John Shaw 1st Baronet was born to Robert Shaw and Elizabeth Domilowe.
In or before 1660 John Shaw 1st Baronet [aged 44] and Sarah Ashe were married.
Around 1660 [his son] John Shaw 2nd Baronet was born to John Shaw 1st Baronet [aged 45] and [his wife] Sarah Ashe. He married (1) on or after 12th May 1684 Margaret Peake Lady Shaw and had issue (2) before 1695 Sarah Paggen Lady Shaw.
On 28th July 1660 John Shaw 1st Baronet [aged 45] was knighted.
In 1661 John Shaw 1st Baronet [aged 46] was elected MP Lyme Regis.
In December 1662 [his wife] Sarah Ashe died. She was buried at St Mildred's Church, Bread Street.
On 24th June 1663 John Shaw 1st Baronet [aged 48] and Bridget Drury were married at Eltham.
John Evelyn's Diary. 14th July 1664. I went to take leave of the two Mr. Howards, now going to Paris, and brought them as far as Bromley, Kent; thence to Eltham, Greenwich, to see Sir John Shaw's [aged 49] new house, now building; the place is pleasant, if not too wet, but the house not well contrived; especially the roof and rooms too low pitched, and the kitchen where the cellars should be; the orangery and aviary handsome, and a very large plantation about it.
Chronicle of Geoffrey le Baker of Swinbroke
Baker was a secular clerk from Swinbroke, now Swinbrook, an Oxfordshire village two miles east of Burford. His Chronicle describes the events of the period 1303-1356: Gaveston, Bannockburn, Boroughbridge, the murder of King Edward II, the Scottish Wars, Sluys, Crécy, the Black Death, Winchelsea and Poitiers. To quote Herbert Bruce 'it possesses a vigorous and characteristic style, and its value for particular events between 1303 and 1356 has been recognised by its editor and by subsequent writers'. The book provides remarkable detail about the events it describes. Baker's text has been augmented with hundreds of notes, including extracts from other contemporary chronicles, such as the Annales Londonienses, Annales Paulini, Murimuth, Lanercost, Avesbury, Guisborough and Froissart to enrich the reader's understanding. The translation takes as its source the 'Chronicon Galfridi le Baker de Swynebroke' published in 1889, edited by Edward Maunde Thompson.

On 15th April 1665 John Shaw 1st Baronet [aged 50] was created 1st Baronet Shaw of Eltham in Kent.
In 1678 [his father] Robert Shaw died.
On 1st March 1680 John Shaw 1st Baronet [aged 65] died. He was buried on 6th March 1721 at the Church of Holy Trinity, Eltham on 6th March 1680. His son John [aged 20] succeeded 2nd Baronet Shaw of Eltham in Kent.
On 15th February 1681 John Baber [aged 55] and [his former wife] Bridget Drury were married.
On or before 11th July 1699 [his former wife] Bridget Drury died. She was buried at Eltham.
