She the daughter of Patrick Graham and Eupheme Stewart 2nd Countess of Strathearn and Caithness. He the son of Archibald Douglas 1st Duke Touraine [aged 52] and Margaret Stewart Duchess Touraine. They were half second cousins.
Around 1440 [his father] James Hamilton [aged 43] died.
After 25th February 1440 James Hamilton 1st Lord Hamilton [aged 25] and Euphemia Graham Lady Hamilton [aged 32] were married. She the daughter of Patrick Graham and Eupheme Stewart 2nd Countess of Strathearn and Caithness.
On 24th November 1440 William Crichton 1st Lord Crichton arranged a dinner of reconciliation at the Great Hall, Edinburgh Castle. During the course of the dinner the young brothers [his step-son] William Douglas 3rd Duke Touraine [aged 16] and David Douglas [aged 10] was beheaded in front of the young King James II of Scotland [aged 10].
Around 1442 [his daughter] Elizabeth Hamilton Duchess Montrose was born to James Hamilton 1st Lord Hamilton [aged 27] and [his wife] Euphemia Graham Lady Hamilton [aged 34]. She married 1459 her half third cousin once removed David Lindsay 1st Duke Montrose, son of Alexander Lindsay 4th Earl Crawford and Margaret Dunbar Countess Crawford, and had issue.

Before 26th April 1467 Thomas Boyd 1st Earl Arran and [his future wife] Mary Stewart Countess Arran [aged 13] were married.
