In 1828 Joseph Severn [aged 34] and Elizabeth Montgomerie [aged 24] were married.
On 17th February 1841 [his brother-in-law] Archibald William Montgomerie 13th Earl Eglinton [aged 28] and Theresa Howe Newcomen [aged 32] were married.

On 4th October 1861 [his brother-in-law] Archibald William Montgomerie 13th Earl Eglinton [aged 49] died. His son Archibald [aged 19] succeeded 14th Earl Eglinton.
On 17th April 1862 [his wife] Elizabeth Montgomerie [aged 58] died.
On 25th May 1870 [his son-in-law] Henry Furneaux [aged 40] and Eleanor Elizabeth Severn were married. She the daughter of Joseph Severn [aged 76] and Elizabeth Montgomerie.
On 3rd August 1879 Joseph Severn [aged 85] died. He was buried at the Protestant aka English Cemetery, Rome next to the grave of John Keats.

[his daughter] Eleanor Elizabeth Severn was born to Joseph Severn and Elizabeth Montgomerie. She married 25th May 1870 Henry Furneaux and had issue.
