Orazio Gentileschi 1563-1639

On or before 9th July 1563, the date he was baptised at Pisa, Orazio Gentileschi was born.

1610. Orazio Gentileschi [aged 46]. "David Contemplating the Head of Goliath".

1612 to 1615. Orazio Gentileschi [aged 48]. "The Lute Player".

1621. Orazio Gentileschi [aged 57]. "Danaë".

1623. Orazio Gentileschi [aged 59]. "Annunciation".

1624 to 1625. Orazio Gentileschi [aged 60]. "Diane Chasseresse" i.e. "Diana the Huntress".

In 1626 Orazio Gentileschi [aged 62], accompanied by his three sons,  left France for England, where he became part of the household of the King's first minister, George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham [aged 33].

On 7th February 1639 Orazio Gentileschi [aged 75] died in London. He was buried at the Chapel, Somerset House.
