On 09 Jun 1513 Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 16) and Antoinette Bourbon Duchess of Guise (age 20) were married. She the daughter of Francis Bourbon Count Vendôme and Soissons and Marie Luxemburg Countess Vendôme and Soissons. He the son of René Lorraine II Duke Lorraine Duke of Bar and Philippa Egmont Duchess of Bar Duchess Lorraine (age 46). They were fourth cousins. She a great x 5 granddaughter of King Edward III of England.

On 22 Nov 1515 [his daughter] Mary of Guise Queen Consort Scotland was born to Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 19) and [his wife] Antoinette Bourbon Duchess of Guise (age 22) at Bar le Duc.

On 17 Feb 1519 [his son] Francis II Duke Guise was born to Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 22) and [his wife] Antoinette Bourbon Duchess of Guise (age 26) at Bar le Duc.

On 18 Aug 1526 [his son] Claude Duke of Aumale was born to Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 29) was created 1st Duke Guise. [his wife] Antoinette Bourbon Duchess of Guise (age 33).

In 1527 Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 30) was created 1st Duke Guise. [his wife] Antoinette Bourbon Duchess of Guise (age 34) by marriage Duchess Guise.

Fyrst the xj. day of October whiche was Fryday in the mornyng at. v. of the clocke the kynges grace toke his Shyppe called the Swallowe and so came to Caleys by. x. of the clocke. And on the. xvj. day of October my lorde of Norffolke (age 59) accompanyed with my lord of Darby (age 23) and a great nombre of gentilmen besydes mette with the great mayster of Fraunce vj. myles fro Calays at the englysshe pale the sayd great mayster hauynge two greate lordes in his company of theyr ordre and a hondred gentylmen attendynge vpon them. And there my lorde of Norffolke (age 59) and the greate mayster deuysed the place where the two kynges sholde mete whiche was at Sandyngfelde. And that done they wente bothe to Caleys with theyr companyes. And the sayd greate mayster with dyuerse other straungers dyned that daye with ye Kynge. And after dyner my lorde of Norffolke brought them forth on theyr way a myle or two and so departed for that tyme (age 59).

She the daughter of Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 37) and Antoinette Bourbon Duchess of Guise (age 41). He the son of Louis Valois I Duke Longueville and Johanna Hochberg Duchess Longueville.

On 18 Jun 1538 [his son-in-law] King James V of Scotland (age 26) and [his daughter] Mary of Guise Queen Consort Scotland (age 22) were married at St Andrew's Cathedral Priory, St Andrew's. She by marriage Queen Consort Scotland. She the daughter of Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 41) and Antoinette Bourbon Duchess of Guise (age 45). He the son of King James IV of Scotland and Margaret Tudor Queen Scotland (age 48). They were third cousins. He a grandson of King Henry VII of England and Ireland.

In 1547 [his mother] Philippa Egmont Duchess of Bar Duchess Lorraine (age 80) died.

On 01 Aug 1547 [his son] Claude Duke of Aumale (age 20) and [his daughter-in-law] Louise de Brézé (age 29) were married. He the son of Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 50).

On 29 Apr 1548 [his son] Francis II Duke Guise (age 29) and [his daughter-in-law] Anna d'Este (age 16) were married in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. They had seven children. He the son of Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 51) and Antoinette Bourbon Duchess of Guise (age 55). They were third cousin once removed.

Diary of Edward VI. 09 Apr 1550. The hostiages delivered on both the sides, for the ratification of the league with Prannce and Scoteland, forbicaus som said to mon. Rochepot, lieutenant, that mon. de Guyse (age 53)1, father to the marquis of Means (age 31), was ded, and therefor the delivery was put over a day.

Note 1. Claude duc of Guise (age 53) was dangerously ill: he died on the 12th of April.

On 12 Apr 1550 Claude Lorraine 1st Duke Guise (age 53) died. His son [his son] Francis II Duke Guise (age 31) succeeded 1st Duke Guise.

In 1583 [his former wife] Antoinette Bourbon Duchess of Guise (age 90) died.
