On 24 Mar 1645 Thomas Aston 1st Baronet (age 44) died. His son [his future brother-in-law] Willoughby Aston 2nd Baronet (age 4) succeeded 2nd Baronet Aston of Aston.

1696 Plot to Assassinate King William III

On 28 Jan 1697 John Fenwick 3rd Baronet (age 52) was beheaded for his part in the 1696 Plot to Assassinate King William III. He was buried at St Martin in the Fields [Map]. Baronet Fenwick of Fenwick in Northumberland extinct. He was the last person to be executed under an Act of Attainder.

Robert Burdett 3rd Baronet (age 57) had spoken against the attainder in Parliament.

On 14 Dec 1702 [his former brother-in-law] Willoughby Aston 2nd Baronet (age 62) died. His son Thomas Aston 3rd Baronet (age 37) succeeded 3rd Baronet Aston of Aston.

The title had originally been claimed by Walter, younger brother of Robert Burdett 3rd Baronet. However, [his former daughter-in-law] Elizabeth Tracy (age 35), wife of Robert Burdett 3rd Baronet's son Robert, who had died sixteen days before his father, subsequently gave birth to a son who became the 4th Baronet.
