Around 1638 William Boothby 1st Baronet was born to Henry Boothby 1st Baronet (age 46) and Mary Hayes (age 24).

On 05 Nov 1644 [his father] Henry Boothby 1st Baronet (age 52) was created 1st Baronet Boothby of Clater Cote although the letters patent did not pass the Great Seal before he died.

On 03 Sep 1648 [his father] Henry Boothby 1st Baronet (age 56) died. Baronet Boothby of Clater Cote extinct.

After 1649 [his mother] Mary Hayes (age 35) died.

After 13 Aug 1653 William Boothby 1st Baronet (age 15) and Frances Milward were married.

Around 1654 [his son] Francis Boothby was born to William Boothby 1st Baronet (age 16) and [his wife] Frances Milward.

Before 01 Jan 1664 [his son] William Boothby 3rd Baronet was born to William Boothby 1st Baronet (age 26) and [his wife] Hill Brooke (age 28). On 01 Jan 1664 he was baptised in Tamworth, Staffordshire [Map].

In 1665 John Denham (age 50) and [his sister-in-law] Margaret Brooke Lady Denham (age 25) were married. She, thereafter, conducted a very public affair with the future King James II (age 31). To her husband's mortification, she insisted on being acknowledged publicly as a Royal mistress, saying that she would not, unlike her predecessor Goditha Price "go up and down the back stairs". The difference in their ages was 25 years.

Before May 1665 Thomas Whitmore (age 23) and [his sister-in-law] Frances Brooke Lady Whitmore (age 25) were married.

On 06 Jan 1667 [his sister-in-law] Margaret Brooke Lady Denham (age 27) died. She was rumoured to have been poisoned by her husband John Denham (age 52) by giving her a poisoned cup of chocolate. In any case rumour named several other possible poisoners, including her former lover James (age 33), his wife Anne Hyde (age 29) and his sister-in-law, Lady Rochester (age 21).

On 08 Jan 1670 [his son] Brooke Boothby was born to William Boothby 1st Baronet (age 32) and [his wife] Hill Brooke (age 34).

In 1671 William Boothby 1st Baronet (age 33) purchased Ashbourne Hall, Derbyshire [Map] from Aston Cockayne 1st Baronet (age 62).

In 1684 [his son] Francis Boothby (age 30) died.

In 1690 [his sister-in-law] Frances Brooke Lady Whitmore (age 50) died.

Before 1695 [his son] William Boothby 3rd Baronet (age 30) and [his daughter-in-law] Frances Williams (age 46) were married.

On 14 May 1704 [his wife] Hill Brooke (age 68) died.

Hill Brooke: Around 1636 she was born to William Brooke and Pembroke Lennard. On 06 Apr 1657 William Boothby 1st Baronet and she were married at Chiswick. On 14 May 1704 Hill Brooke died.

On 24 Mar 1707 William Boothby 1st Baronet (age 69) died at Ashbourne Hall, Derbyshire [Map]. His grandson Henry Boothby 2nd Baronet (age 25) succeeded 2nd Baronet Boothby of Broadlow Ash in Derbyshire.
