Biography of John Wynn 1st Baronet 1553-1627

In 1551 [his father] Maurice Wynn (age 31) and [his mother] Sian Bulkeley were married. They had three sons and five daughters.

In 1553 John Wynn 1st Baronet was born to Maurice Wynn (age 33) and Sian Bulkeley.

In or before 1570 [his father] Maurice Wynn (age 50) and [his step-mother] Anne Greville were married.

In 1570 John Wynn 1st Baronet (age 17) commenced his education at All Souls College, Oxford University being awarded BA in 1578.

In or before Jan 1573 [his father] Maurice Wynn (age 53) and Jane Velville were married. She a granddaughter of King Henry VII of England and Ireland.

before Feb 1573 [his father] Maurice Wynn (age 53) and [his step-mother] Katheryn of Berain were married. She a great granddaughter of King Henry VII of England and Ireland.

On 18 Aug 1580 [his father] Maurice Wynn (age 60) died. John Wynn 1st Baronet (age 27) inherited Gwydir Castle.

In 1588 [his son] Richard Wynn 2nd Baronet was born to John Wynn 1st Baronet (age 35) and [his future wife] Sidney Gerard.

In 1592 [his son] Owen Wynn 3rd Baronet was born to John Wynn 1st Baronet (age 39) and [his future wife] Sidney Gerard.

Around 1600 [his son] William Wynn was born to John Wynn 1st Baronet (age 47) and [his future wife] Sidney Gerard.

Around 1602 [his son] Henry Wynn of Rhiwgoch in Merionethshire was born to John Wynn 1st Baronet (age 49) and [his future wife] Sidney Gerard.
