On 14th February 1755 Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave was born to Constantine Phipps 1st Baron Mulgrave [aged 32] and Lepell Hervey Baroness Mulgrave [aged 31]. He a great x 2 grandson of King James II of England Scotland and Ireland.
In 1767 [his father] Constantine Phipps 1st Baron Mulgrave [aged 44] was created 1st Baron Mulgrave of New Ross in Wexford. [his mother] Lepell Hervey Baroness Mulgrave [aged 43] by marriage Baroness Mulgrave of New Ross in Wexford.

In 1795 Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 39] and Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave were married at St Michael's Church, Houghton le Spring [Map]. She by marriage Baroness Mulgrave of New Ross in Wexford and Baroness Mulgrave.

Written from the perspective of a burgher (bourgeois) rather than a monastery or royal court, the chronicle offers a rare lay viewpoint on high politics and warfare, reflecting how merchants, townspeople, and civic institutions experienced the turbulence of the 13th and 14th centuries. He a great x 3 grandson of King James II of England Scotland and Ireland. He married 1818 Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby, daughter of Thomas Liddell 1st Baron Ravensworth and Maria Susannah Simpson Baroness Calthorpe, and had issue.
In 1809 [his son] Augustus Frederick Phipps was born to Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 53] and [his wife] Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave. He a great x 3 grandson of King James II of England Scotland and Ireland. He married before 22nd August 1887 his half fourth cousin once removed Mary Elizabeth Emily Fitzroy, daughter of Henry Fitzroy 5th Duke Grafton and Mary Caroline Berkeley Duchess Grafton.
In 1812 Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 56] was created 1st Earl Mulgrave, 1st Viscount Normanby. [his wife] Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave by marriage Countess Mulgrave.
In 1818 Constantine Phipps 1st Marquess Normanby [aged 20] and Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 19] were married. He the son of Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 62] and Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave.
On 7th April 1831 Henry Phipps 1st Earl Mulgrave [aged 76] died. His son Constantine [aged 33] succeeded 2nd Earl Mulgrave, 2nd Viscount Normanby, 4th Baron Mulgrave of New Ross in Wexford and 2nd Baron Mulgrave. Maria Liddell Marchioness Normanby [aged 32] by marriage Countess Mulgrave.
On 17th October 1849 [his former wife] Martha Sophia Thomson Maling Countess Mulgrave died.
