Around 1407 Malise Graham 3rd Earl Strathearn 1st Earl Menteith was born to Patrick Graham [aged 24] and Eupheme Stewart 2nd Countess of Strathearn and Caithness.
Around 10th August 1413 [his father] Patrick Graham [aged 30] died.
In 1423 Malise Graham 3rd Earl Strathearn 1st Earl Menteith [aged 16] was sent to Durham, County Durham [Map] as one of the hostages for the safe return of King James I of Scotland [aged 28].
Between 1424 and 1427 Malise Graham 3rd Earl Strathearn 1st Earl Menteith [aged 17] was deprived of the Earldom of Strathearn on the grounds that it was a male fee ie only males can inherit.
Around 1424 [his brother-in-law] Archibald Douglas 2nd Duke Touraine [aged 34] and [his sister] Euphemia Graham Lady Hamilton [aged 16] were married. She by marriage Duchess Touraine, Countess Wigtown. She the daughter of [his father] Patrick Graham and [his mother] Eupheme Stewart 2nd Countess of Strathearn and Caithness. He the son of Archibald Douglas 1st Duke Touraine [aged 52] and Margaret Stewart Duchess Touraine. They were half second cousins.
In 1427 Malise Graham 3rd Earl Strathearn 1st Earl Menteith [aged 20] was imprisoned at Pontefract Castle [Map] as a hostage for King James I of Scotland [aged 32]. He wasn't released until 1453.
On 6th September 1427 Malise Graham 3rd Earl Strathearn 1st Earl Menteith [aged 20] was created 1st Earl Menteith, with remainder to the heirs male of his body, probably in compensation for the loss of the Earldom of Strathearn.
Around 1434 [his mother] Eupheme Stewart 2nd Countess of Strathearn and Caithness died. Her son Malise [aged 27] succeeded Earl Strathearn.
After 25th February 1440 [his brother-in-law] James Hamilton 1st Lord Hamilton [aged 25] and [his sister] Euphemia Graham Lady Hamilton [aged 32] were married. She the daughter of [his father] Patrick Graham and [his mother] Eupheme Stewart 2nd Countess of Strathearn and Caithness.
Around 1468 [his sister] Euphemia Graham Lady Hamilton [aged 60] died.

On 8th December 1485 Malise Graham 3rd Earl Strathearn 1st Earl Menteith [aged 78] died. His son Alexander [aged 13] succeeded 2nd Earl Menteith.
