Around 1699 [his son] Thomas Gresley 4th Baronet was born to William Gresley 3rd Baronet [aged 37] and [his wife] Barbara Walcot. He married (1) 5th April 1719 Dorothy Bowyer, daughter of William Bowyer 4th Baronet, and had issue (2) 11th June 1739 Gertrude Grammer Lady Gresley.
On 5th June 1699 [his father] Thomas Gresley 2nd Baronet [aged 71] died. He was buried at St George and St Mary's Church, Church Gresley. His son William [aged 37] succeeded 3rd Baronet Gresley of Drakelow in Derbyshire.
In 1703 William Gresley 3rd Baronet [aged 41] was appointed High Sheriff of Derbyshire.
On 7th November 1710 William Gresley 3rd Baronet [aged 48] died. His son Thomas [aged 11] succeeded 4th Baronet Gresley of Drakelow in Derbyshire.
