On 2nd September 1696 [his father] William Gresley 3rd Baronet [aged 34] and [his mother] Barbara Walcot were married.
Around 1699 Thomas Gresley 4th Baronet was born to William Gresley 3rd Baronet [aged 37] and Barbara Walcot.
On 5th June 1699 [his grandfather] Thomas Gresley 2nd Baronet [aged 71] died. He was buried at St George and St Mary's Church, Church Gresley. His son [his father] William [aged 37] succeeded 3rd Baronet Gresley of Drakelow in Derbyshire.
On 7th November 1710 [his father] William Gresley 3rd Baronet [aged 48] died. His son Thomas [aged 11] succeeded 4th Baronet Gresley of Drakelow in Derbyshire.
On 7th May 1716 Thomas Gresley 4th Baronet [aged 17] matriculated at Balliol College, Oxford University.
On 5th April 1719 Thomas Gresley 4th Baronet [aged 20] and Dorothy Bowyer were married at St Lawrence's Church, Biddulph.
Around 1723 [his son] Thomas Gresley 5th Baronet was born to Thomas Gresley 4th Baronet [aged 24] and [his wife] Dorothy Bowyer. He married 1749 Wilmot Hood and had issue.
In 1723 Thomas Gresley 4th Baronet [aged 24] was appointed High Sheriff of Derbyshire.

Jean de Waurin was a French Chronicler, from the Artois region, who was born around 1400, and died around 1474. Waurin’s Chronicle of England, Volume 6, covering the period 1450 to 1471, from which we have selected and translated Chapters relating to the Wars of the Roses, provides a vivid, original, contemporary description of key events some of which he witnessed first-hand, some of which he was told by the key people involved with whom Waurin had a personal relationship.

On 11th January 1727 [his son] Nigel Gresley 6th Baronet was born to Thomas Gresley 4th Baronet [aged 28] and [his wife] Dorothy Bowyer at Drakelow Hall, Derbyshire. He married 18th May 1752 Elizabeth Wynn Lady Gresley and had issue.
On 31st July 1736 [his wife] Dorothy Bowyer died. She was buried at St George and St Mary's Church, Church Gresley.
On 11th June 1739 Thomas Gresley 4th Baronet [aged 40] and Gertrude Grammer Lady Gresley were married at Haddon Chapel - unknown where this chapel is located. She by marriage Lady Gresley of Drakelow in Derbyshire.
In 1746 Thomas Gresley 4th Baronet [aged 47] died. His son Thomas [aged 23] succeeded 5th Baronet Gresley of Drakelow in Derbyshire.
