On 26th January 1774 John Gregory Shaw 5th Baronet [aged 17] matriculated Trinity College, Oxford University.
On 31st October 1776 John Gregory Shaw 5th Baronet [aged 20] was awarded MA by Trinity College, Oxford University.
On 18th June 1779 [his father] John Shaw 4th Baronet [aged 50] died. He was buried at the Church of Holy Trinity, Eltham on 26th June 1779. His son John [aged 22] succeeded 5th Baronet Shaw of Eltham in Kent.
On 9th March 1782 John Gregory Shaw 5th Baronet [aged 25] and Theodosia Margaret Monson Lady Shaw [aged 19] were married at St Marylebone Church. She by marriage Lady Shaw of Eltham in Kent.
On 15th March 1783 [his son] John Kenward Shaw 6th Baronet was born to John Gregory Shaw 5th Baronet [aged 26] and [his wife] Theodosia Margaret Monson Lady Shaw [aged 20].
On 18th August 1785 [his son] Captain Charles Shaw was born to John Gregory Shaw 5th Baronet [aged 29] and [his wife] Theodosia Margaret Monson Lady Shaw [aged 22]. He married 13th April 1822 Frances Anne Hawley, daughter of Henry Hawley 1st Baronet, and had issue.
On 29th November 1806 [his son-in-law] Henry Hawley 2nd Baronet [aged 30] and [his daughter] Catherine Elizabeth Shaw were married.
On 13th April 1822 [his son] Captain Charles Shaw [aged 36] and [his daughter-in-law] Frances Anne Hawley were married.
On 2nd May 1829 [his son] Captain Charles Shaw [aged 43] died.
The Deeds of the Dukes of Normandy

On 24th October 1847 [his former wife] Theodosia Margaret Monson Lady Shaw [aged 85] died.
[his daughter] Catherine Elizabeth Shaw was born to John Gregory Shaw 5th Baronet and Theodosia Margaret Monson Lady Shaw. She married 29th November 1806 Henry Hawley 2nd Baronet, son of Henry Hawley 1st Baronet, and had issue.
