Around 1736 Petrus Johannes van Reysschoot [aged 33] travelled to England where he established himself as a painter of portraits, history and sporting scenes. He returned in 1737 on the death of his father.

On or 24th February 1772 Petrus Johannes van Reysschoot [aged 70] died.
