Danvers Osborn 3rd Baronet 1715-1753

On 17th November 1715 Danvers Osborn 3rd Baronet was born to John Osborn at Chicksands.

In or before 1720 [his father] John Osborn died.

In 1720 [his grandfather] John Osborn 2nd Baronet [aged 70] died. His grandson Danvers [aged 4] succeeded 3rd Baronet Osborn of Chicksands in Bedfordshire.

On 25th September 1740 Danvers Osborn 3rd Baronet [aged 24] and Mary Montagu [aged 22] were married. She the daughter of George Montagu 1st Earl Halifax and Mary Lumley Countess Halifax.

In 1741 [his brother-in-law] George Montagu Dunk 2nd Earl Halifax [aged 24] and Anne Richards [aged 15] were married. She brought a fortune having inherted from Thomas Dunk Ironmonger whose name her husband adopted. He the son of George Montagu 1st Earl Halifax and Mary Lumley Countess Halifax.

On 10th May 1742 [his son] George Osborn 4th Baronet was born to Danvers Osborn 3rd Baronet [aged 26] and [his wife] Mary Montagu [aged 24]. He married (1) before 3rd December 1772 Elizabeth Bannister and had issue (2) before 29th June 1818 his fifth cousin Heneage Finch Lady Osborn, daughter of Daniel Finch 8th Earl Winchilsea 3rd Earl Nottingham and Mary Palmer Countess Winchelsea and Nottingham.

In 1743 [his son] John Osborn was born to Danvers Osborn 3rd Baronet [aged 27] and [his wife] Mary Montagu [aged 25]. His mother died during, or soon after, childbirth.

In 1743 [his wife] Mary Montagu [aged 25] died in childbirth, or soon after childbirth.

On 12th October 1753 Danvers Osborn 3rd Baronet [aged 37] committed suicide at New York. His body was found in the garden of the house in which he was lodged, which belonged to a local councilman. The body presented evidence of strangulation. His son George [aged 11] succeeded 4th Baronet Osborn of Chicksands in Bedfordshire.
