Biography of Thomas Pakenham 2nd Earl Longford 1774-1835

On 30 Apr 1766 [his grandfather] Thomas Pakenham 1st Baron Longford (age 52) died. His son [his father] Edward Pakenham 2nd Baron Longford (age 23) succeeded 2nd Baron Longford.

In 1768 [his father] Edward Pakenham 2nd Baron Longford (age 24) and [his mother] Catherine Rowley Baroness Longford (age 20) were married. She by marriage Baroness Longford. He the son of Thomas Pakenham 1st Baron Longford and Elizabeth Cuffe 1st Countess Longford (age 48).

On 14 May 1774 Thomas Pakenham 2nd Earl Longford was born to Edward Pakenham 2nd Baron Longford (age 31) and Catherine Rowley Baroness Longford (age 26).

On 03 Jun 1792 [his father] Edward Pakenham 2nd Baron Longford (age 49) died. His son Thomas Pakenham 2nd Earl Longford (age 18) succeeded 3rd Baron Longford.

On 27 Jan 1794 [his grandmother] Elizabeth Cuffe 1st Countess Longford (age 74) died. Her grandson Thomas Pakenham 2nd Earl Longford (age 19) succeeded 2nd Earl Longford.

In 1816 [his mother] Catherine Rowley Baroness Longford (age 68) died.

In 1817 Thomas Pakenham 2nd Earl Longford (age 42) and Georgiana Lygon Countess Longford (age 19) were married. She by marriage Countess Longford. The difference in their ages was 23 years. She the daughter of William Lygon 1st Earl Beauchamp and Catherine Denn Countess Beauchamp.

In 1817 [his son] Edward Pakenham 3rd Earl of Longford was born to Thomas Pakenham 2nd Earl Longford (age 42) and [his wife] Georgiana Lygon Countess Longford (age 19).

Before 1819 Charles Kent 2nd Baronet (age 35) and [his sister-in-law] Sophia Margaret Lygon Lady Kent (age 29) were married. She by marriage Lady Kent of Fornham. She the daughter of William Lygon 1st Earl Beauchamp and Catherine Denn Countess Beauchamp.

On 31 Jan 1819 [his son] William Pakenham 4th Earl of Longford was born to Thomas Pakenham 2nd Earl Longford (age 44) and [his wife] Georgiana Lygon Countess Longford (age 21).

On 03 Mar 1820 [his son] Rear-Admiral Thomas Alexander Pakenham was born to Thomas Pakenham 2nd Earl Longford (age 45) and [his wife] Georgiana Lygon Countess Longford (age 22).

On 16 Nov 1834 [his sister-in-law] Sophia Margaret Lygon Lady Kent (age 45) died.

On 28 May 1835 Thomas Pakenham 2nd Earl Longford (age 61) died. His son [his son] Edward Pakenham 3rd Earl of Longford (age 18) succeeded 3rd Earl Longford, 4th Baron Longford.

On 12 Feb 1880 [his former wife] Georgiana Lygon Countess Longford (age 82) died.
