On 06 Feb 1759 [his father] Garrett Wellesley 1st Earl Mornington (age 23) and [his mother] Anne Hill Countess Mornington (age 16) were married. She by marriage Baroness Mornington.

On 02 Oct 1760 [his father] Garrett Wellesley 1st Earl Mornington (age 25) was created 1st Earl Mornington, 1st Viscount Wellesley of Dangan Castle by King George III of Great Britain and Ireland (age 22) in reward for his services to music and philanthropy. [his mother] Anne Hill Countess Mornington (age 18) by marriage Countess Mornington.

On 20 May 1763 William Wellesley aka Wellesley-Pole 3rd Earl Mornington was born to Garrett Wellesley 1st Earl Mornington (age 27) and Anne Hill Countess Mornington (age 20). His great uncle William Pole of Ballyfin in Ireland (age 50) was his godfather.

On 31 Jan 1768 [his grandfather] Richard Colley aka Wesley 1st Baron Mornington (age 78) died. His son [his father] Garrett Wellesley 1st Earl Mornington (age 32) succeeded 2nd Baron Mornington.

In 1781 William Pole of Ballyfin in Ireland (age 68) died. His mother's great-nephew William Wellesley aka Wellesley-Pole 3rd Earl Mornington (age 17) inherited his estates at which time he changed his name from Wellesley to Wellesly-Pole.

On 22 May 1781 [his father] Garrett Wellesley 1st Earl Mornington (age 45) died at Kensington. He was buried at Grosvenor Chapel. On 22 May 1781 His son [his brother] Richard Wellesley 1st Marquess Wellesley (age 20) succeeded 2nd Earl Mornington, 2nd Viscount Wellesley of Dangan Castle.

In 1784 William Wellesley aka Wellesley-Pole 3rd Earl Mornington (age 20) and Katherine Forbes Countess Mornington (age 22) were married. He the son of Garrett Wellesley 1st Earl Mornington and Anne Hill Countess Mornington (age 41).

On 22 Jun 1788 [his son] William Pole Tylney Long Wellesley 4th Earl Mornington was born to William Wellesley aka Wellesley-Pole 3rd Earl Mornington (age 25) and [his wife] Katherine Forbes Countess Mornington (age 27).

On 14 Mar 1812 [his son] William Pole Tylney Long Wellesley 4th Earl Mornington (age 23) and [his daughter-in-law] Catherine "The Wiltshire Heiress" Tylney Long (age 23) were married. He the son of William Wellesley aka Wellesley-Pole 3rd Earl Mornington (age 48) and Katherine Forbes Countess Mornington (age 51).

On 06 Aug 1814 [his son-in-law] Fitzroy James Henry Somerset 1st Baron Raglan (age 25) and [his daughter] Emily Harriet Wellesley-Pole Baroness Raglan (age 22) were married. She the daughter of William Wellesley aka Wellesley-Pole 3rd Earl Mornington (age 51) and Katherine Forbes Countess Mornington (age 53). On 10 Sep 1831 [his mother] Anne Hill Countess Mornington (age 89) died at Henrietta Street Covent Garden. She was buried at Grosvenor Chapel.

On 26 Sep 1842 [his brother] Richard Wellesley 1st Marquess Wellesley (age 82) died at Kingston House Knightsbridge. His brother William Wellesley aka Wellesley-Pole 3rd Earl Mornington (age 79) succeeded 3rd Earl Mornington, 3rd Viscount Wellesley of Dangan Castle.
