Before 1634 [his father] George Digby 2nd Earl Bristol (age 21) and [his mother] Anne Russell Countess Bristol (age 13) were married. She the daughter of Francis Russell 4th Earl Bedford (age 40) and Catherine Brydges Countess Bedford (age 53). He the son of John Digby 1st Earl Bristol (age 53) and Beatrice Walcott.

In 1634 John Digby 3rd Earl Bristol was born to George Digby 2nd Earl Bristol (age 21) and Anne Russell Countess Bristol (age 14).

On 21 Jan 1653 [his grandfather] John Digby 1st Earl Bristol (age 72) died in Paris [Map]. His son [his father] George Digby 2nd Earl Bristol (age 40) succeeded 2nd Earl Bristol. [his mother] Anne Russell Countess Bristol (age 33) by marriage Countess Bristol.

In 1656 Nathaniel Napier 2nd Baronet (age 20) and [his future sister-in-law] Blanche Wyndham Lady Napier were married.

After May 1658 John Digby 3rd Earl Bristol (age 24) and Rachel Wyndham (age 13) were married. He the son of George Digby 2nd Earl Bristol (age 45) and Anne Russell Countess Bristol (age 38).

On 20 Mar 1677 [his father] George Digby 2nd Earl Bristol (age 64) died. His son John Digby 3rd Earl Bristol (age 43) succeeded 3rd Earl Bristol.

Evelyn's Diary. 18 Feb 1678. My Lord Treasurer (age 45) sent for me to accompany him to Wimbledon, which he had lately purchased of the Earl of Bristol (age 44); so breaking fast with him privately in his chamber, I accompanied him with two of his daughters, my Lord Conway (age 55), and Sir Bernard Gascoyne (age 64); and, having surveyed his gardens and alterations, returned late at night.

In 1695 [his sister-in-law] Blanche Wyndham Lady Napier died.

On 26 Jan 1697 [his mother] Anne Russell Countess Bristol (age 77) died.

Sherborne Abbey [Map]. On 12 Sep 1698 John Digby 3rd Earl Bristol (age 64) died without issue. Earl Bristol extinct. In May 1658 [his former wife] Alice Bourne died. On 16 Feb 1709 [his wife] Rachel Wyndham (age 64) died. William and Mary. Monument sculpted by John Nost.

Alice Bourne: she was born to Robert Bourne of Blake Hall in Essex. On 26 May 1656 John Digby 3rd Earl Bristol and she were married. He the son of George Digby 2nd Earl Bristol and Anne Russell Countess Bristol.

Rachel Wyndham: Around 1645 she was born to Hugh Wyndham Baron of the Exchequer and Jane Wodehouse. After May 1658 John Digby 3rd Earl Bristol and she were married. He the son of George Digby 2nd Earl Bristol and Anne Russell Countess Bristol.
